About The Artwork
From my original artwork Woodcuts #4, molded with cellulose on a wood board, I create a limited edition of 25 pieces made out of polyurethan resin on a wood board, metal patina finished. Each sculpture has a 'Certificate of Authenticity' signed and numbered by the artist. The edition number is also applied on the back of the wall sculpture by hand. This first edition is coated with a reactive bronze varnish, then chemically oxydized to obtain a dark and blue patina. A coat of sealer protects the surface from further oxidation. The artwork is ready to hang with hidden hooks, the wall hardware is supplied. 91 x 91 x 1,5 cm inches 36" x 36" x 3/4" (interiors views are to approx. scale) weight 8 kg / 17.6 lbs

My work is deeply influenced by nature, mostly wavy, abstract forms based on what I see on wood, bark, vegetables, animal or a rock formation. I focus on a particular organic texture and I bring it in the circumscripted space of an artwork. My wall reliefs with their three-dimensionality, can be observed from multiple angles and different kinds of lighting will have different impacts on the artwork. The physical textures create patterns of variation that stimulate the sense of sight and touch. I like to create patina on metal finishes since the oxydation is always unpredictable, different and unique. Through my website I collaborate with collectors, art consultants and interior designers, creating bespoke pieces of art custom designed for each project.
