About The Artwork
I have always loved working with paper and experimenting with different textures, layers and mark-making. This work is inspired by traditional Chinese ink scrolls and the Australian landscape. Layers of hand-printed woodblock and ink on rice paper, installed in a clear acrylic box frame. D-rings and split batten hangers supplied on the back of the frame. Commissions available. Please note oversize works will have to be made in panels due to weight restrictions of the materials.

Jessi Wong is a printmaker, collage and installation artist working with paper. Her arts practice favours pattern and repetition referencing organic forms found in nature – stars, woodgrain, striated rocks. Composition, colour, and layering play a structural role in her visual language. Combining woodblock, lino, collage and pen, her artworks challenge perceptions of replication and traditional printmaking. Jessi is currently living and working in Melbourne, Australia.
