Starting from the title, you guessed it, it’s about Alice descending (falling) into the vortex of life. It’s about childhood passing by in a heartbeat, then finding yourself being tossed around, hitting walls, falling into holes, never being sure of whether you want to be more of an adult or on the contrary, a child again, thinking is it me, or the world that’s screwed up so badly? The composition is packed with clues to the invisible chains that bind us and keep us in check, from sexuality and body image to status, wealth or social pressure. So how do we escape the dreaded rabbit hole? Or maybe the hole is the escape. Find the answer by following the lines, crevasses, explore the shapes, descend into the depths and decipher the metaphysics behind this object.
