About The Artwork
This unique colourful wooden pencil bowl is a work of art and has been handmade by myself on the lathe. The pencils have been colour coordinated to make a one of a kind design for each bowl. The pencils (1200 +) have been glued together with resin and turned on the lathe. It has been coated with a food safe protective coating and sanded until smooth. It is very robust and weighs about 1 pound. It is 2 inches tall and over 11.5 inches in diameter. This looks great in the center of a table, as colour-popping home decor, or can be used as a fruit/nut bowl. This would make a great wedding present, 5 year wedding anniversary or gift. Enjoy :-)

Ollie Parkin was born and raised south of London, UK, where he received his education in Industrial Design and Engineering. He found himself drawn to the degree's more creative and artistic aspects and longed for a more unrestricted way to express his ideas. Ollie has since lived in Vancouver, Canada, for the last 15 years, enjoying the West Coast beauty and lifestyle, and has recently moved coast to coast to make Prince Edward Island his new home. His robust and bright artwork is made from coloured pencils and resin on a lathe. They are inspired by his love for colourful abstract and surreal art and the desire to create a structure with a texture that you can hold in your hands.
