mother Earth Sculpture

Description: Mother EarthThe original stone used for this sculpture had two distinctive white and black layers. I used that naturally shaped layers, to create a white face in contrast of a black body. You can also see, at lower part of the body, another naturally shaped surface that is the result of deposition of white sediments over black stone during years. As a matter of fact, in this work I used the stone itself as inspiration. Medium: stoneYear Created: 2007
