About The Artwork

The Comrade III raises notions of alarm, protection, security and emergency. This anthropomorphic form, often seen on our streets, like reluctant guards to a road sign or a slumped drunk - is captured here as if about to crawl off. This piece is bisque fired ceramic, hand sculpted. As a professional art handler I will pack up the work, as a gallery would do, for safe postage anywhere in the world. It is signed and dated on the underside - KH 2017
