About The Artwork
ALABASTER is part of collection White Sculptures and it was the first one of all sculptures in this collection. Working with alabaster is particular because the material is very soft. I had to carve it mostly only by hand tools to keep the precision. The stone is partially translucent and gives the impression as if it was made of snow or ice.
