About The Artwork

Each day when I walk by the sea I am inspired by what I see--coves, harbors, sea shells, beach, open ocean. I often translate what I see into sculptural shapes that recall these moments in nature. This piece is finished in high-gloss white and detailed in 23k gold leaf and is very transluscent. It is my hope that my work keeps the gifts of nature at the forefront of our minds and, as well, brings a bit of beauty into your homes. I only work in porcelain as it allows me to bring the clay into wafer-like thinness and elegant, organic shapes.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

When I discovered that I could take raw porcelain in the palm of my hand and fashion it into delicate, intricate, organic forms, I never looked back. By shaping every sculpture with my hands I can achieve the full range of energy and expression I seek. Each sculpture shape recalls the forms and motion of flowers, sea plants and ocean waves which are on Cape Ann, my home, and where the earth and ocean meet in spectacular forms. My work as a porcelain artist is an extension of my writing about interior design and architecture. Both are about making our homes beautiful and authentic. Architectural Digest has characterized my work as "the epitome of nature-inspired elegance". That is what I work to achieve in each piece I create. I have been working in ceramics since 2003 and began working in porcelain in 2011. Today I have collectors across the globe and several public installations across the US in luxury hotels and lobbies.
