About The Artwork
American Dream is a series of photographs taken in California and Arizona in the Summer of 2017. The series reflects a contradiction between ideals of a dreamer from Europe and the reality he meets in America. With obvious humour and irony the pictures try to show the viewer some kind of contrast between America as an icon and the impact of consumerism and superficiality on it. The photograph is printed with a pigment ink on a high quality fine art archival paper. This guarantees the highest museum quality and standards with long lasting color and saturation. Each print from this limited edition comes with a certificate of authenticity, signed, numbered and titled. It’s shipped rolled in a tube to any country worldwide. The size of the paper is 70 W x 48 H cm (27.6 W x 18.9 H in) and dimension of the printed area 66 W x 44 H cm (26 W x 17.3 H in) with a 2 cm (0.8 in) border around the artwork.

Tomas Vrana, born in 1986, is an internationally awarded photographer from Prague. Vrana studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and his work can be found in the collections of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague in addition to private collections. His work has been exhibited internationally both at group shows and solo exhibitions. Tomas Vrana’s photography always reflects a contradiction between order and disorder both in the physical world and the state of mind.
