Molly O'Dwyer (b.1980) is a visual artist from Dublin. She completed a two year MFA at NCAD in Dublin 2010 and holds a first class B.A. in Fine Art from Dublin Institute of Technology. Her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally, amongst these include EV+A in Limerick 2007, HOUSE projects, CEAD in China, Prague Quadrennial of Performance,Design and Space and Contemporary Art and the Moving Image at the 11th Belfast Film Festival. In 2011 she completed a digital media residency at The Firestation Studios in Dublin and a month long international residency in Reykyavik, Iceland where her work was also exhibited at the SIM gallery. Her work was also selected by The European League of Institutes of the Arts for the NEU/NOW festival 2011 and for Irish Wave at The Siemens Art Space in Beijing, China. She was invited to collaborate on a two- person show with Québec artist Josée Pedneault at The Darling Foundry in Montreál, titled 'Les Concordances Du Temps' it was open from March to May 2012. In June her work was screened at MUVIM (Museo Valenciano De La Illustración y Modernidad) as part of the Incubarte Festival in Valencia, Spain. Her solo show Awaiting Movement also took place in The Werkstadt Gallery, Berlin last September. She exhibited with two other artists in Sites For Temporary Witness at The Ballina Art Centre in April 2013. She has just completed an 18 month long visual artist residency at Rua Red 2012/13 where her solo show Becoming Imperceptible was exhibited in Gallery 1 from Oct 4th- Nov 16th. This featured a new body of work she produced during her time working from the centre. O'Dwyer has kindly received support from both The Arts Council, South Dublin County Council and Culture Ireland.
