About The Artwork
This piece was inspired by materials I had lying around my studio. I composted the first image during one of my experimental shoots and didn't come back to it until about 6 months later. It was then that I paired it with a secondary image that I had taken while traveling. I thinking Red Soil embodies what I'm all about as an artist and really this piece marks a turning point in my direction. When it comes to the physical print, I have hand selected a cotton paper with a matte finish that compliments both the shadows and the highlights.
