About The Artwork
Steps into a pool in Nosara, Costa Rica. The light was just hitting it right. I am a spontaneous photographer. As I walk through life, I constantly see a snippet of a moment, a building, a scene. I see the whole scene, but then I like to hone in on just a portion of my view. In this case, I found the blue so striking, and the symmetry the squares provided matching the pattern of the mosaic tiles gave it an interesting shape, angle. It is also mysterious, stepping in or stepping out? How deep is the pool? Will the viewer know it is a swimming pool? This photograph would look amazing on aluminum and equally interesting printed on paper, may be floating on white background with simple square black frame, or a frame repeating the pattern of the mosaic. This is a dye sublimation print on aluminum.
