Black and White is always my medium of choice for such subject matter, as I believe colour in itself can be a distraction to a story. The inquisitive child exploring the many fallen chestnuts, overseen by her classically dressed mother portrays a very human scene. I hope you as the viewer to this image recall how with the innocence of childhood, even the most simple objects are fascinating.
