Although this photo work looks like black and white, it is a color photograph that shows color only in a few details. The glass vases are placed in order of height, but are manipulated in such a way that they all look equally large. Kees Schouten, 1961, Netherlands. I graduated ArtSchool in 1984 as a painter and printmaker. I was awarded by The Dutch Art Society in 1987 (for painting). First showed photoworks in 1995. From 2010 to 2017 i only made photoworks, still lifes. In 2017 i started to make collages and prints again after quite a few years. In 2022 i had a large studio built in the corner of my garden. Since then i am painting again. I am Teaching Photography at Graphic Design College, Utrecht (NL).
