It is the many details, colours and textures of elephants that I have always enjoying focusing on during my chances to photograph them. This elephant in Tarangire Naitonal Park in Tanzania was very close to the vehicle allowing for a telephoto lens to pick up the incredible texture of the skin. The mud and the small bits of vegetation stuck to the skin, give the picture an abstract feel and reveal a little about what the elephant might have been doing.
