Driven by man-made global warming, glaciers are retracting at increasing rates. Now the vanished can only be seen on fascinating and dismaying photographs. The EARTH for this project will be collected at the tongues and snouts of prominent alpine glaciers. For a start, twenty-five glaciers have been selected (the northern- and southernmost, the biggest, smallest, mightiest, oldest, the most famous, etc.). Three of the five German glaciers will be included. The EARTH ART WORKS of this projects constitute an artistic snapshot of the status quo and will soon be outdated.
