I began my career and continue to spend much of my professional time photographing long-term personal projects and editorial/NGO assignments. My images have been used thousands of times in hundreds of projects by clients including print, broadcast, and online editorial outlets as well as non-profits, NGOs, and mission driven companies to tell their stories and explore a variety of social and environmental issues. In addition to my own photography I have also worked commercially and editorially in art direction and design for a handful of publishers and small to mid-sized companies. I'm currently picture editor at Orion magazine, a non-profit, non-commercial (no-advertising), award-winning bi-monthly periodical examining the complex relationships between people and nature through a diverse array of cultural lenses. It is my goal to combine my different experiences in various aspects of the photography industry to continue finding and funding my own good work while at the same time supporting others who are also committed to doing good work.
