About The Artwork
As an underwater photographer, I'm continually fascinated how incredible the reflections are just under the surface. To me they look like fluid abstract paintings, always changing form. I like to attune myself to these magical moments and capture them to inspire and illuminate nature's wonders. It doesn't take much for this to happen in the underwater world. The way the sun hits the water creates endless myriads of magical, transformational visual treasures for all to observe. This image in particular is of my daughter. A sorcerer in her own right. Always ready to explore just what's right under the surface. A metaphor of how I personally like to view and explore the wonders of this life.

I've been a professional photographer for over 20 years. After moving to a home with a 10 foot deep pool that needed to be renovated, I had a flash of inspiration that I'd be an underwater photographer. It's been 9 years since I began this journey of capturing people in the "underwater world" which has also connected me deeper then ever to water, our oceans and my passion for protecting our Mother Earth, sea and land animals and bringing awareness to plastic pollution.
