About The Artwork
This photo was taken the first time I was in Echo beach, Bali. An exceptionally low tide (that never again happened while I was there) had left the beach available for walking several hundreds of meters into the sea. The strong wind created a spray patina that made the whole scene dreamy and surreal and the light was just right. It's very different from the 'usual' #icm photos I take but it conveys all that Echo beach represents: surf, adventure, youth. I allow users to print it in as large a format as they like, it wil look wonderful in extra large size in any living room and is a testimony of the myth that this place represents for surfers. The Gajah Mina statue in the background makes the whole scene even more emotional and 'strong'.

I take mostly #icm shots, intentional camera movement. Photography without emotion is nothing; icm captures interest with color first, then with the realization and understanding or intuition of what we are looking at, creating the need to watch again, for a much longer time than traditional pics and generating, as said, a strong emotion. From January 24, I will make available for print one or two photos for a limited period. I've been advised this is better than printing a limited nbr of images so I changed their status to 'not available'. The two photos available for print will remain as such until I load new photos. The ones that are no longer available may be purchased as unique print but will be erased after any private sale to preserve their status of 'unique' works.
