About The Artwork
Handprinted cyanotype from an edition of 50 +3AP of the nuclear test "Baker" by the USA. Cyanotypes are an old photographic process discovered in 1842. I mix up the chemicals, paint them onto the paper and then expose the image using the sun as a light source. The negative used to make this print is made from one of my silverpoint drawings, not a photograph. The blueprint is exposed under the sun, the largest example of thermo-nuclear reaction in our solar system. Please inquire about frames.
