"Ars Amandi" is a classic didactic poem written in Latin by Ovid. They are traditional (heterosexual) teachings on love and lovemaking arts (with their traditional gender roles). Within the project, this poem which is a great reference in Western culture is referred to as the “tradition" of the art of love, but this time the word "Libertas" is added, which is a Latinism that means "freedom". The images are located in an underwater environment becoming in a "Locus amoenus" which is a literary topic, attached to traditional culture as well. It is a placid, idyllic place, surrounded by nature, with connotations of Eden or paradise, which is used to express that authentic and liberated intimacy. The aesthetics of these series are pictorial _ traditional, reminiscent of the Renaissance and Baroque. Which places it within the artistic tradition but with the addition of same-sex couples that adhere to the current modern freedom to be able to love freely without pre-established norms dictated by tradition.
