About The Artwork
I took this photograph in the Historic Center of Sabará, Minas Gerais, Brazil. This house is known as the Blue House. The year of its construction is unknown, but the beauty of the wooden carvings of the doorway have made it a tourist attraction in the city. I chose to photograph part of the shutter and one of its windows, to escape the conventional, and the beauty and historical importance of this house motivated me to make this photographic record, which is available here, for sale.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
