About The Artwork
I work with the same basic male look. I have chosen in several works to position the head the same. I also have chosen basically the same composition. The part that changes is the look. I want to see how many levels of intensity I communicate. I think of this guy as a film noir bad guy or good depending on the mood I am attempting to capture. He is no one in particular. The nose changes, the shape of the eye changes, the chin changes, but I seem to paint this particular idealized fim noir star that never existed.
