i've always been intrigued by the letters of our alphabet, each one is an individual abstract image that represent a sound. when a group of them are brought together as words they transform and take on different meanings. with that in mind i decided to take a word ("hate" in this case) and render it to take on two different roles: as a word and as an abstract image with no specific meaning at all.
