Che studied fine art at Middlesex university and previous to this trained and studied painting under acclaimed British figurative artist and curator Chris Stevens. Che's figurative work deals mainly with portraiture and space and how the figure occupies the space both physically and mentally, he is also interested in how light interacts with the subject. His paintings of wildlife are a lot lighter both emotionally and stylistically and are a striking contrast to his figurative work. He works in Oils, Acrylics, Inks, Watercolour and Charcoal. Figurative stylistic Inspiration comes from Caravaggio, Velasquez, Rembrandt, Lord Frederick Leighton, Joseph Wright of Derby. Also John Currin, Chris Stevens and a few other contemporary figurative painters.
