Without Touching Painting

This work was inspired by organic shapes and by the drawings by the neuroscientist Santiago Ramón y Cajal who devoted his life to the study of the brain. I was struck by the delicacy of his drawings and by his discovery that the brain is made up of separate cells or neurons that nevertheless receive signals from each other. I created an environment where individual tiny structures do not touch but are clearly connected with each other via patterns, colors and shapes. This is an homage to the man who is known as "the father of modern neuroscience".
