About The Artwork
The joy of wild youth in the beauty of a meadow of wild flowers appealed to my sense of happy freedom. Are they sisters, friends, lovers? That is the question I posed myself and which you can interpret any way that you wish. I used an impressionistic style of painting with plenty of impasto applied by brush and knife. The painting is on a thick chunky canvas with all the edges painted so that it hangs in its own right without need for framing. The picture is sent to you with a hanging cord fitted for display on your wall.

I was born into a family of practicing artists with the smell of paint and pencils wafting through the house. I was trained as a carpet designer, attending art college for three years part time while being mentored by an experienced designer in the studio of the company I was apprenticed to. The basic training was that of any fine artist and I have always painted. Most of my paintings are based on sketches and photographs that I have made of people, places and things. I have sold paintings through out the UK, USA and Saudi Arabia. I have exhibited at the Birmingham Open, Harris Brush Works and The Malvern Theatres in England. I hope you like my paintings.
