Materials: Acrylic on semi-transluscent paper, red pins Technique: monotype Frame: wood, natural colour, object frame, glass Signature: front I created this artwork for an arts competition with the title "The 4th Dimension". It's a monotype for which I used acrylic paint of the colour indigo, a deep dark blue, which I usually use for monotyping. I love the colour and it's expression, somewhere between black and blue. Well, what can a 4th dimension be? The summer of 2019 was crucial to me: I've read a lot about the bees dying, I've read Maja Lunde's "The history of bees", I listened to Greta Thunberg's fiery speeches - and it was the first summer that I realized: the bees were missing in my garden flowers. What will happen, if the bees disappear? What or who will be next? Meanwhile we write the year 2020 - and are amidst another crisis, the "Corona crisis". To me, we have reached the 4th dimension now, a dimension, which just a few months ago we couldn't even imagine ... The artwork is sold in a high quality "object" frame (wood, natural colour, 6cm deep, glass). It is fixed with red pins.

Germany
I am a Czech-born and now Germany based painter. In my works I explore the essence of what surrounds me: why do people act the way they do? What lies beneath the surface of what meets the eye? What are we driven by? To express what I sense beneath the surface I feel drawn to different materials and a range of colours, which I apply in different layers on my canvases and papers, using a variety of techniques including scratching, brushing and printing. This way expressive works are created, some reduced to basic expressions, others rich in colour and texture.
