About The Artwork
The Baltic states are very flat in terms of their landscape. I find myself at times wishing to have some mountainous landscape around for inspiration or for reference. I like painting nature from time to time and favour stylizing subjects in a simple, blocky way so rocky landscapes appeal to me as an artist . This no reference landscape motive is kind of a way for me to scratch an itch.
