About The Artwork
This painting is entitled, "WELL SITUATED SPECTATOR". It is part of a new series called "The Zeta Series". Zeta refers to a genre of my abstract paintings that are very fertile in their impression depending upon the angle from which they are viewed. Hung in the orientation from which the painting was painted gives a certain impression. Hung at 90 or 180 degrees (upside down or on their side) one receives a completely different but equally compelling impression. Zeta paintings are often appear as 2,3, or even 4 different paintings depending upon how they are viewed. I generally sign Zeta pieces on the back so that the signature does not interfere with viewing the work from different angles. Refer to the photos to see it hung at different angles.
