About The Artwork
This painting was inspired by walking in circles in my square and rectangular patio and garden during the Coronavirus lock down. I was able to spend many hours observing colors and details that had gone unnoticed by me before. I was particularly taken by a sage colored succulent that blooms on long light green stems into almost "electric" magenta colored flowers that contrast with the rust color of the wall behind them. The combination of rust and fluorescent magenta took my breath away every morning.
