This creation of abstract named "Valkyrie" was inspired by Michael's time on the seas. First mate on yachts in Florida and the Caribbean...I often dreamed about coming into port to see my love. For the love of the ocean and the love of a woman. On the ocean, the Captain always steady at the helm, wonders about his woman. This abstract is about dreaming of love. As it emerges from the boat on the ocean, on a sunset as she appears in the sky.

Born and raised near the beach in Southeast Texas, have lived in many different states and countries, currently live on the coastal waters of Galveston bay. Being a "Renaissance Man" as my friends call me, my wealth of knowledge has matured over the years and shows in my work. With over 35 years of painting and photography, I continue to grow and refine my creations. 2015 was in 100 buses in Raleigh area with Art on the Move for most of the year. I have won several awards, in galleries, and currently on display at the USDA Gallery in Washington, D.C. I grew up around nature. Horticulture, flowers, and various works in wood, stone, and other media have moved me to painting on acrylic on canvas and other media.
