Uomolgil Painting

I have been seeing a lot of plants that are not really taken cared of when I was staying in the countryside. These plants grow without any proper care from people. Suddenly, they will be removed by the farmers who think that they are not needed by people. Some people consider these plants as just unwanted weeds. To some, there are crops that they consider to be "weeds" and for some, there are also weeds that are considered to be "crops" according to their needs. At first, weeds are not really thought of as something useless but only the people who branded these weeds as something that the society doesn't really need. I have seen the life cycle of weeds in the countryside and I wondered if weeds are really something useful or useless to nature. Also, I am thinking of what kind of plants for people that they accept to be important. One day, I was simply thinking of what old people say about these weeds. They say that "weeds are important during the drought season because it prevents landslide and become helpful to other plants." After some time, I finally understood and realized that weeds are very important to the earth's ecosystem and are actually very useful plants like the others. I also discovered that the useless things for people are really useful to the environment. I have started to make these weeds as my subject in painting. With this, they have stopped being useless and instead become very important and useful to me as an artist. Thus, I want to continuously produce more new artwork with weeds as my subject and with the other useless things for people to be useful for me as an artist.
