This loosely painted piece features an inviting rattan or wicker bench with soft white cushions covered in wild scrawly plant designs. The room is filled with flowers and plants and also features wee blue and white delft pots. This is the kind of space in which I dream of catching up on my reading or sharing a tall, cool drink with a friend. The piece was painted in a warm, expressive style that I have been exploring, probably inspired by Hockney and Matisse. It is painted on cradled board and is ready to hang or frame to your liking.
