About The Artwork
"I pray that in 2023, you will be filled with blessings that shine upon you like a rising sun!" . The theme of the artwork is "Thorn Tree-First Love." The elementary school always appears in the center of the piece. The school gate symbolizes birth, the playground represents living life, and the flag in the schoolyard represents the world after death. In other words, the artwork portrays the cycle of life, from birth to death, through the appearance of an elementary school. The various shapes surrounding the school represent all the experiences we go through in life. In the Old Testament of the Bible, Moses witnesses a thorn tree burning without being consumed. The thorn tree represents a life full of hardships, and the burning bush represents God's love and salvation that accompanies us through those hardships. Through this artwork, I hope to convey the message of God's love and salvation.

Introduction: I am a painter named Lee Kyung-sung, who specializes in Western-style painting. I have held 19 solo exhibitions, and my works have been displayed in over 200 group exhibitions, including international art fairs and exhibitions in Korea. I have also won 28 awards in various art competitions. Education and Experience: I graduated from the College of Fine Arts at Chosun University in 1985. Since then, I have participated in numerous exhibitions and art fairs, including solo exhibitions at government buildings and art galleries.
