Born 1948 Israel. Grew up in Montreal, Canada until 1971. Lives and works in Ein Hod, Israel. Painter, senior lecturer 1971-present. Head of Dept.(3 sessions, between 1975-1994)Art Dept. Haifa University, Israel. I am a figurative painter working in mixed techniques and media. My work is based on personal history, memory and cultural cliches and motifs. I use re-cycled, ready-made and found photos, texts, and objects to explore the interplay of painting replica and reproduction. I use acrylic, oil, and industrial paint on canvas. All my work is original.
