About The Artwork
This piece was inspired by my mother and the many women like her who have suffered abuse. I see this painting as a hommage not only to women who make it through abusive situations but thrive as a net result of their own inner strength. Drawing inspiration also from the Hindu goddess Parvati, goddess of love, fertility, emotion and divine strength and power. The genre I work within suits the narrative for this work, raw, provocative and at the same time innocent. This painting is supplied with a frame ready for assembly on arrival.
