About The Artwork
You see one of the artworks on the subject of sacrifice. I have an ambiguous attitude to this phenomenon. I will try to explain the meaning of those symbols and metaphors that I have put into this work. The whole meaning of the work is: for someone to be happy, someone needs to be sacrificed. I would not want to sacrifice someone for my happiness. But I know exactly how the person who was sacrificed feels. These are pretty unpleasant feelings. The tree of life is the central symbol, it grows with roots from the grave. The cadaver lies in the grave - this is the one who was sacrificed. Above the grave, the bride and groom are celebrating life. Above the bride and groom are those with whom they are associated. The groom is bound to his mother by the umbilical cord. The bride is tied to a certain young man by a scape, studded with thorns. In the background there are two houses - his and hers.
