About The Artwork
Inspired by all forms of exclusiveness, I wanted to create a poignant portrayal of that "being estranged" feeling. I often use crows and ravens (social creatures, crows especially)as a metaphor for human behavior. In this painting, it is obvious that someone seems different from the others and the other birds reaction to him is mixed.... fear, acceptance, rage, indifference. Does the viewer take sides?.....for, against, or somewhere in between?
