I painted my first painting of sailors marching at the Queens Funeral in watercolour and wanted to see how it would look in acrylic. I felt I needed to reflect the crisp uniforms and that acrylic might do this better than the water colour. I loved the image of the swift marching of these sailors at the funeral, their collective respect and the stiffness of their movement.
