I wanted to convey in this picture the lightness and serenity of this moment-a nap. As if these two were walking in a field on a summer day, lay down to rest and take a nap. I love this beautiful girl and her dog, these blades of grass and white flowers on the dress. Have you noticed, my friend, how the summer breeze stirs the grass? And how does the fabric on the shoulders shine through? I spent a lot of time on the details in this picture. Look at it.

All my childhood I lived in a small town in Russia and one thing that very inspired me was nature. I was surrounded by beautiful mountains, fields, tall trees, rivers and lakes. It’s to my liking to portray nature as something mesmerizing and mysterious. My favorite painting technique is to add clouds and fog to the story of picture. I perceive all my art works through myself and often imagine myself in the place that I portray. I value each of my works very much and I hope my paintings will find a place in your heart.
