About The Artwork
This painting was created at the international art symposium “Slovenia Open For Art” at Sinji Vrh nad Ajdovščino, and it also received the grand prize for its exceptional quality of work. It was one of two paintings that the artist created outdoors, surrounded by beautiful nature and scenery. This piece is also part of the 'light pieces' series, as it features a curtain of shimmery golden leaves that reflect both natural and artificial light. Consequently, it captures the qualities of sunlight and infuses them into the space where it's exhibited. The light rises, sets, and changes colours throughout different parts of the day.

Slovenia
Lara Ješe is a visual artist living and working in Kranj, Slovenia. She doesn’t stick to a particular style or a medium, but most of her production resides in figurative painting. Colder and darker tones from her earlier work with animal motifs have made way for increasingly saturated colours and strong, bold shapes. In 2016 she acquired her MFA at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and also studied at the HGB Leipzig in Germany. She has exhibited in solo and group shows internationally, most notably in Slovenia, Switzerland, Germany, and the USA.
