I have a series of chairs, acrylic on paper of only one colour each. I was working this chair on canvas and suddenly the idea of an object that's not there came into my mind so I covered it with black strokes letting something come through. Just a glimpse of what is covered.

1945,Baltimore, Maryland, USA.I live in Uruguay since 1947 because my father was a Uruguayan Architect, I also lived in Chile and Afghanistan. My inspiration has always been the human body and its relation with light and movement. I work sometimes based on famous paintings, like Manet´s Olympia, it makes me feel a very special joy moving those wonderfull paintings as I wish.
