The Cognizance of Misperception Painting

Jeffrey Scott Lewis, born and raised in Bremen, GA and currently lives and works in Fort Myers, FL. Abstract painter and conceptual sculpture. "My paintings are things, not pictures of things". I love to make work out of recycled materials. The colors and textures of plastics is a source of great inspiration. Works such as "Chasing Rainbows" have socially important messages while being fun and lighthearted. Try to always avoid the preachy, but never shy away for tough subject matter. I have recently stumbled into photography while creating images to use in photo transfers. I am very excited about these new images created by painting a model from head to toe in liquid latex and photographing the model stretching and removing the latex.
