I am inspired by the use of color in cultures. When painting this work I was thinking about Frida Kahlo. Her life was difficult and yet she managed to work everyday and made something of her life. I find her so courageous and inspiring. The painting conjures the image of a sun-drenched Mexican afternoon, where the intensity of the sun bathes the surroundings in a golden glow. The orange tones dominate, representing the sun's embrace and the energetic vitality of the moment. Shades of purple and blue seamlessly blend into the canvas, evoking the skies transitioning from the heat of the day to the coolness of the evening. As you gaze upon "Tarde Soleada," you can feel the artist's contemplation of a leisurely stroll home after a long day of work.
