About The Artwork
This is one of the larger shapes that I am going to incorporate into my installation for my BFA Thesis. I excavated a total of 7 shapes. The outcome was exciting and hard work. I believe this idea of uncovering artwork to see it in a new context conceptualizes the painting, sculpture, and architecture left behind by the Mayan people for a contemporary audience.
