About The Artwork

Inspired by the New England coast and harbors. There are so many places you can look out over the ocean and see strips of land - I love transporting myself to these peaceful places. This listing is for an original unframed painting on canvas. I paint the sides of my paintings for a contemporary finished look, no framing is needed. Title: “Settled Whispers" Size: 30"H x 30"W x 1.38" deep Medium: Acrylic on Canvas My work has been in: ** West Elm ** 1stdibs ** Art Business News Magazine My paintings have sold throughout the US, Canada and Europe. In the Spring of 2012 I was selected as one of the Top 50 Emerging Artists by the editorial staff of the New York based magazine, Art Business News. Art Business News is the art industry's most requested magazine and has been the art industry’s news leader since 1977. In 2013 I was a featured artist in West Elm's catalog and online. Also in 2013, I was the first non-New York artist invited to sell my work at 1stdibs in the New York Design Center in Manhattan. (Read about me in Art Business News - Top 50 Emerging Artist - "Counting Down the Artists of Tomorrow Whose Names You Need to Know Today)

I am an internationally collected artist originally from Taunton, Massachusetts. I have a degree in Accounting from Bryant University but have been making art since I was very young. I am mainly inspired by color and shapes found in nature. Although I have moments of creating vibrant and dynamic paintings, I tend to prefer quiet and minimalistic pieces. These feel more intimate and soulful to me. In 2016 I was invited to become an Artist member of the Art in Embassies program administered by the US state department. I had a painting included in an exhibition in Monrovia, Liberia at the residence of Christine Elder, the US Ambassador to Liberia. My work has been used on film, television and commercials.
