About The Artwork
You cannot grasp a cloud, it is visible but not tangible. It is in constant change, far away, and an image of hope, desire, longing for other places, unimaginable, promising. It is a symbol of calm and lightness, but it can also accompany apocalyptic imagery. Feeling tossed into vulnerability, I likened myself to a cloud, capable of self-desintegration, but also of a continuous flow of thought and words, seemingly not a text; not really a text, but connected in the spontaneity of my consciousness. Are nature and the human mind in contrast? However, they remain interwined.

I am a painter, calligraphist and grafics artist, autodidact by choice. To earn my living I work as calligraphist for government institutions, international companies and private clients, and for film productions. For many years I worked as set-designer for feature films. I was born in Rome. Baroque art runs in my veins, so to speak. A good amount of talent in the arts was passed on to me by my family. During my childhood we traveled the world, thus I developed an affinity to different ancient civilizations, developing a taste for the decorative arts and for the Mid-European expressionism.
