About The Artwork
The Seekers piece brings together some of the forms and studies I've done around Olafur Eliasson's major installation "The Weather Project" which showed in the turbine hall at London's Tate Modern. This group of people seem to melt into an orange glowing mist. Are they being swallowed? Are they passing to another side? What are they seeking, or do they know? The metaphorical possibilities of Eliasson's work, and the visitors to his installation, continue to generate image after image that brings with it its own stories and questions. In this one I find the way the individuals follow each other to be both mesmerizing and slightly chilling, wondering if they even know where they are going, and what they are drawn to.
