About The Artwork
People who see my work often comment that it is joyful. Such is the magic of art-making! In this first of a new series of geometric pattern grids, I started off with a feeling of frustration and anger at what I saw happening in our country. I was, in fact, "Seeing Red," but as I started the process of pattern making, pattern hiding and pattern developing my anger dissipated. I was lost in the colors, lines and shapes. I hope viewing it will have the same effect.
